Terra Sávia Winery:
Terra Sávia (Wise Earth) is located five minutes off Highway 101 just south of the town of Hopland in Mendocino County. In addition to crafting a wide variety of artisan wines, including a spectacular sparkling Chardonnay made in the traditional "méthode champenoise", the winery also produces a number of extra virgin olive oils as well as its own honey. The entire estate is certified organic and for every acre cultivated, 100 acres of open land remain protected. The winery also makes a point to dedicate its labels to native animal species, and donates 1% of all gross proceeds to local wildlife rescue. Terra Sávia’s winemaker Jim Milone is a fourth generation grape grower that has been making wine in Mendocino County for over 33 years. His winemaking philosophy is guided by his love for the land.
