Marimar Estate:
Marimar Estate is located in the Russian River Valley near the town of Sebastapol. It is one of the very few wineries in the RRV that also lies within the freakishly foggy sub-appellation known as “Green Valley”. Owner and director of operations, Marimar Torres planted her estate vineyard in 1986 and built her Catalan farmhouse-inspired winery in 1992. Born in Barcelona, Marimar’s Spanish roots run deep, and have strongly influenced
her winery’s overall direction. Most of the wines are held back for extended bottle aging before being released, and in addition to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, both Albariño and Tempranillo line the slopes of the hillside estate. The winery even offers visitors an authentic tapas and wine pairing experience inside its rustic dining room.
